The Director of Information Security and Compliance is a key leadership position at Datamark, Inc., located onsite in El Paso, TX. This role of Director of Information Security and Compliance is critical in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive information security and compliance program that aligns with industry regulations and best practices. The Director of Information Security and Compliance will develop and implement security policies, procedures, and strategies to protect the organization’s information assets and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including but not limited to GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

The Director of Information Security and Compliance will lead a global team of security and compliance professionals, drive risk management efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address compliance gaps and vulnerabilities. The Director of Information Security and Compliance will also interface with auditors, regulators, and other external entities to represent Datamark’s commitment to security and compliance initiatives.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will not only develop and oversee information security strategies but also foster a culture of security awareness across the organization. You will work closely with executive leadership to steer security policies, manage risks, and ensure that our compliance measures align with current standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the information security and compliance framework across Datamark globally.
  • Engage with stakeholders to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze compliance regulations to guarantee adherence to industry standards (such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS).
  • Oversee audits and assessments, both internal and external, ensuring timely remediation of identified issues.
  • Foster collaboration among teams to integrate compliance into business processes seamlessly.
  • Train and mentor a talented team of information security professionals, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; advanced degrees such as a Master's or MBA are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in information security, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and frameworks.
  • Proven track record of establishing security policies and compliance programs within diverse organizations.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISM, CISSP, CISA, or similar.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to travel as required to support global teams and initiatives.
